I have to replace the Pilot arc IGBT in my 1000. Was curious to see if anyone has done this before and if they had any tips or things to look for.

You can download the service manual for the Powermax1000 for free, it has details on troubleshooting as well as "how to" on component replacement. Go to www.hypertherm.com , click on downloads library, choose the system (powermax1000), click on manuals, then service manual. You can download it as a .pdf file and then print it out if needed.
