weathervain
just finished weathervain, it's going to idahoe. anybody who lives in snow country and made these, is were any problems with them freezingup in winter?

You can use a tephlon type grece or something that won't freeze and they work well in the winter or keep them sloppy and dry you get that good squeek when they turn.

I once lived in the mountains of Northern Arizona for many years, it snowed all the time in the winter and it was COOOOOOOLD at times (20 below wind chill).
I would weld a collar over the bearing assembly that keeps the bearing dry but loose enough to keep from binding with ice.
It may be hard to keep from freezing, I found everything to freeze at times no matter what!
