I have it installed. and using it. spent very long time verifying it. and waited to make sure it was what they said it was.(been there done that)

One difference it that the educational version will not run VBA macros which can come in handy at times

hey bill what is vba macros? what does it do?
you could be right . but you cant expect everything for a 1/4 the price. especially if you cant afford it
they said it said it does everything x6 does but you wont be able to upgrade it.

I checked with corel they are closed I googled macros for corel draw the one company said this option is for intermediate to professional users . so the people I am trying to help wont have a use for it anyway.

I am not trying to mislead or get anyone ripped off I found an entry level way to get a very expensive product.

it does anything a beginner will need plus some. I did all my homework this time I waited till I got the product before I posted this. and tested it .

there are a lot off people like me that cant afford $500.00 . from what corel draw themselves told me this does everything full x6 does but you cant upgrade it . I will check into the macros tomorrow

but for $95.00 I am very happy . like I said earlier contact corel ask what you get with corel education. I did I am happy if you can afford x6 at full price by all means buy it . but if you cant this is the next best thing.

I don't know much about different macros but I do run one called "Cad Tools 5" with the education edition.

took me a while to research the education edition. but I got it . and it works great.

if you haven't tried the dxf too plug in you should try it it works pretty good it reduces the nodes in youre files you can try it free for 30 days.

I will verify asap .
when I loaded the product key I am pretty sure corel just renewed my trial membership.
I clicked on dxf tool and it said I need to renew my license.

I will contact mr leonard dxf tool designer and post update.

dxf tool works with all versions of corel x6 even home and student

the website is having some difficulty if you have problems I can get a email from him

I just did a chat with online sales support of Corel. Here was the pertinent portion of the conversation

You: I have heard rumor that the education version will not run vba macros. Is this true?
Kris B: That would be the Home and Student edition.

From what I gather, the education edition is complete (not sure if documentation is same) and has a banner that says not for commercial use, the home/student edition is a stripped down version (not sure what all is missing but apparently many useful customization features including VBA macros are disabled) and probably is not for commercial use either.

education is complete no banner. it is totally the same as x6 but you cannot upgrade.

according to corel draw . who I have asked countless times.

everything I exported so far does not have a banner.

you can add macros and plug ins I contacted leonard at dxf tool personally . he said to down load the 32 bit version
