another one driving me crazy

this deer was hand cut with a torch for one of my friends and hes wanting me to make a copy of it. my corel draw is having alot of trouble for some reason it locks up everytime i try to trace it any help would be greatly appreciated.also if anyone knows whats causing my corel to lock up on it ive vectored other images that work just fine not shure what the deal is with this one

What version of corel are you using? I use x4. I had that problem all the time. It would freeze, lock up or crash. I got it to work by going and getting a 1 terabyte external hard drive. All my files go on that instead of my laptop. I havent had a freeze or crash since. Did the same for the shop computer. Just made a folder for "shop files" within the ext hard drive.

Hope this helps. I know i was a point where i wanted to thrash my laptop over freeze ups.

im using the corell draw x6 i may need to try that my cmputer runs pretty slow anyway thanks for the info
