How do I?

Post by plain ol Bill »

Using CorelDraw X4 - How do I draw connected double lines? Let me explain a little further maybe. I want to draw interior lines on some cars that will cut wider - both sides of the line are the same but they are connected on the ends. I know there must be an easy way to do this but darned If I can figure out how. .
What I have been doing is copying a line, nudging the copy over and then close the ends using the three point curve tool and it just takes forever this way. Help needed guys

contour command... curve (blue) is contoured outward (red), then break-apart the contour-group

corel X6 has rounded corner contours, so the end-caps are rounded, I think X4 makes square ends

to get rounded end-caps in X4 you can set the outline thick with rounded miters and rounded end caps (green) and then hit arrange/convert-outline-to-object to get same as above (pink)
