Another question for Mr.Colt.
Excepting the improvements such as more amps, lighter weight etc, is the improved quality of cut and consumable life primarily due to the Duramax torch design? In other words, will a Powermax 1000 with a Duramax retrofit torch provide cuts with quality equal to the new Powermax machines (45,65,85)?

The cut quality is essentially the same as the newer Powermax65, 85 and 105 when you upgrade the Powermax1000, 1250 and 1650 to the new Duramax torch. With the Duramax you will get a DVD manual that can be downloaded as a .pdf file.....I suggets printing the cut charts and follow them exactly. The cut specs are consideably different than the original specs for the Powermax 1000, 1250 and 1650 systems.
