air leak?

Post by kbenz »

I have an air leak out the bottom of my regulator (Powermax600) it stopped right now. but if I move the line it will leak air again. Is this fixable or do I need a new regulator? if so where do I get one? thanks

There is an automatic float type drain mechanism in the bottom of the regulator bowl. It likely has some rust or debris in it that occasionaly holds it opn, allowing air to escape. Disassemble it and clean it....and it likely will be fine.

If you have the operators manual for your Powermax600 you can find part numbers.....you can also download the service manual from www.hypertherm.com online, click on "Document Library" and follow the directions. Parts for any Hypertherm system can be ordered from any Hypertherm dealer.....to find a local dealer go to www.hypertherm.com , click on "Where to Buy".
