powermax 85 maximum air pressure

i am learning on a new powermax 85.when i manually adjust the air pressure on the cutter,i can only go up to 81 psi.is this normal?

That is normal. It is best to leave the pressure in the auto mode. The plasma cutter knows what the setting should be based on what amperage you are using. It also auto compensates for variations in inlet pressure as well as consumable wear.
