Max100

Post by jim8014 »

Our building was broke into and our Dynatorch table was stripped of the 1650 and all the computer and controls equipment. Insurance has drug their feet for 6 months. We have an opportunity to buy a Max100 Hypertherm for $2000, any ideas or advice?
Thanks

The Max100 is an old technology, high frequency start plasma system. It is highly likely that it will create some electrical noise interference issues on your Dynatorch machine.

What thicknesses are you needing to cut? Where are you located?

UGGHHHHH

sorry to hear about your loss..
How come you never hear of crooks stealing stuff you dont want?
I have a ton of stuff they should take..
Me personally I'd be buying a new 1650 if you have 3 phase or a 1250 for single.. unless of course that has changed..

Jim is certainly the authority on this one..
6’x12’ Dynatorch powermax 85
12’ Wysong brake
5’x 5/16’ wysong rolls
3.8’x10’ shear
65 Ton ironworker
Boss laser 3655 150 watt CO2.
SFX 100watt Mopa
Quicncy 7.5hp
Square wave tig, Multimatics, Miller bobcat efi.

They took all of our welders 4, a Hypertherm 800 hand machine, our 1650 table machine, 11,000 pounds of 7150 aircraft aluminum, 5000 lbs of aluminum diamond plate, tons of hand tools. and our truck. The police found the truck 2 days later in the industrial area of Seattle, I asked if I could g o door to door in a 5 block radius and look for our stuff, and of course, they wouldn't let me. The insurance company at first sent there Fraud investigator and has drug their heels, it has been devastating

Good Grief.. That wasnt just a smash and grab..

I put cameras up at my place, not that it'll do much good but it's a bit of piece of mind..
I at least have a fighting chance of catching someone now..

I dont know a ton about insurance companies but I do know that you cant just be patient with them..
I'd be more than a bit pissed off about that situation.. Bad enough to be robbed but now the insurance Co. that you've been paying good money to doesnt want to hold their end of the deal up..

Good luck..
