Re: DXf files?
I'm new to plasma also, but not cnc. You can download a free DXF viewer from solidworks web site.
If your talking about opening DXF files on your TM, I can't help.

Re: DXf files?
I have had the same problem with the DXF files not opening in Autocad. I open them in Corel and resave and they will then open with Autocad. Weird

Re: DXf files?
Are you using the "open" command or the "import" command in the TM software?
I always open a new drawing, then import the DXF to the new drawing.
When the options box comes up-
Import objects as = Polygons
Check the box for "remove duplicates"
Hope it helps.

If like Kajuncrawler you are using corel to open the dxf you can you the application launcher (the rocket shaped icon in the toolbar) to send it straight to torchmate cad.
I always use the two tm and corel alongside each other. Usually drawing and editing in corel and resizing and toolpathing in TM.
