Its a fleur de lis, i painted it in textured black then purple then yellow. When it was almost dry i hand rubbed it with 50 grit paper then used a da sander with 50 grit and lightly sanded it till i liked it. I then hit it with a scotchbrite pad to smooth it down then put a coat of clear on it.
