Welcome aboard Mike, let the fun begin. Lots of great info here you can have a good look around using the search function in the upper right.
Questions answered freely by members, many things common with a CNC table and the Arcdroid, mainly a size difference.

Attached are some of the things I have cut with the Arcdroid. I know the cut deminsion is small on the Arcdriod but I have figured out how to index with it and do large cuts. I like the machine so far but I definitely would like a larger table, so I don't have index. 5/16 is the thickest metal I have cut to date.

I have been using fusion 360 primarily for my cad, and Inkscape a little. I am trying to use inkscape more to learn the program and I am looking at trying Sheetcam.

SheetCam is great and may give you a little more control for the post processor configuration. And the tech support is a cut above too.
