Car Show Wheel Stand
Would anyone have something like this photo. If so what size material did you use? Your help will be appreciated.

Re: Car Stand
Jim,
Here is one ive been working on for jeep shows, these will be 14ga - 11ga.
Shouldnt need to be thicker.
These will be take down style for packaging.
BTW, those gold spokes bring back memories

Re: Car Stand
What do they do? Jack the wheels up and place them onto stands for car shows?

Re: Car Stand
Jim - here is one you might be able to use. Constructed from 11 ga. steel. You could scale the overall size and adjust material thickness to suit your needs.

Re: Car Stand
id be interested in seeing how you end up doing the take down part. ive been looking to design something like this for shows we go to and usually stack 6-8 rigs but if we could get the first rig flexed on one of these would be awesomeROKCRLER wrote: Thu Mar 20, 2025 4:02 pm Jim,

Re: Car Show Wheel Stand
Not sure what Mo means by "take down". Maybe it folds, or uses a slot/tab arrangement. When you say "usually stack 6-8 rigs" - do you mean you stack up the stands so you can show off the chassis flex for an offroad vehicle?

Yes, usually we have a group of us that go to shows together and show off flex. Ill see if i can find some of the pics and ill share them.adbuch wrote: Sat Mar 29, 2025 9:43 pm Not sure what Mo means by "take down". Maybe it folds, or uses a slot/tab arrangement. Re: Car Show Wheel Stand
Thanks for the photo explanation. How do you get it up onto the stand? Or is that driven up a ramp on the one side?zakscott22 wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:03 pm Here is one of the quick pics I found. This was before I got my jeep there.

I am looking at building a stand, will probably have to have a short ramp of some sort. For now we just drive up the other persons tire and the 1st guy doesnt get to flex his out.

Re: Car Show Wheel Stand
I guess the tires stick out enough from the fenders that you don't run the risk of damaging the other guy's fender.zakscott22 wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:36 pm I am looking at building a stand, will probably have to have a short ramp of some sort. Re: Car Show Wheel Stand
Been a few times we have gotten close and rubbed a tire against a fender or door. We all beat on them pretty hard and have some sort of damage to them so it's not a huge deal.adbuch wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 7:26 pmI guess the tires stick out enough from the fenders that you don't run the risk of damaging the other guy's fender.zakscott22 wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 6:36 pm I am looking at building a stand, will probably have to have a short ramp of some sort.
