Hi everyone!
So my family runs a construction business and we work with mostly steel. Aaaand we bought a cnc plasma machine.. impulse buy yee!
I have some basic understanding how these things work as I'm familiar with 3d printing and I found out that these thing are quite similar.
So we have an ELE1325 machine with a Microstep CC-S3 controller. Chinese stuff. We would like to cut custom designs but I just can't seem to find any information about this controller. Is there a premade post processor for it? I did a design today with Mach3 post processor, I'm gonna try to cut it later today and I'll see if it works or not.
Is there anyone on this forum who has deeper kowledge regarding these machines?
Thank you in advance!

Welcome in to the pool, the basic concept is the same, as you know from the 3-D printer field relations (using different slicers). And as you point out the Post Processor dilemma, the reason is the G-code command usage. This comes into play with the communication for the electronics and software action. For what ever reason some software's commands are different for the same action. The function of the table are the same, moving the axis, sensor inputs or signal outputs may differ. This also applies to the THC electronic too. If your table came with its own CAM software and you can import DXF or CVG files you can use any program CAD or Art type to generate files for it. If you are able to use the Mach 3 Post Processor you on your way as that is fairly generic. This is what I found, this is for their wood router table but should use the same post processor.

Tom - I expect the post processor will need some modifications for the torch pierce/fire sequence. Similar to what one of our members did a while back with the VCarve Pro post processor to use it for cnc plasma cutting. I think that Mach 3 is a great way to go because among other things - it is compatible with the Scanything template tracing.

Curious to hear how the Mach 3 PP worked for you. Hopefully that will do the trick but let us know.
