Yeah I bought an older model that was sitting in a warehouse in pierces and you know what I am saying. I await the verdict from PlasmaCAM.

Congratulations on your new table! We will need more information in order to answer your question. What model table, and please show some pictures of the "cam foller bearings" you are asking about.

Hi Mike,

Where are you located?

"Short bearings?" I am not sure what you are talking about. A few photos are what is needed here ...

I removed the carriage and to clean the z axis motor which to my dismay is impossible to find a replacement aftermarket? and being that I purchased the machine from person who purchased it through an auctions clearing house. I can not get any support from PLASMACAM. That can be discussed in a different post. I was reinstalling the carriage ant the assembly would not realign in the original position and kept coming off the follower bearing at the top of the gantry? I changed all 4 follower bearings but the machine seams to not want to track properly it binds up when initialize? the top most bearings seem to just pop offf the track?

Please post photos. Did the carriage assembly fit and operate properly before you removed it to replace the bearings? Where did you get the bearings, and are you sure they are the correct replacements?

Plasmacam will offer no support unless there was a transfer of ownership form filed when the table was sold by the original owner. Also if it is an older table running 3.xx software, you would be required to update to the latest Design Edge software in order to have factory support. That is just the way it is, so no need for further discussion with regard to their policies.

Are you missing the retainer that wraps around the gantry and attaches back to the carriage beneath the gantry via two strong springs?

Again ...

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED? I cannot help you in person if you are too far away, or if you are close but I don't know WHERE you are.

Did you buy a DHC2 ... a DHC ... or a 98Z ... or a Z2 or???

Is the Z motor on the carriage assembly ROUND, or SQUARE?

Post some photos of the table, and the controller box, and the carriage assembly so we are not playing 20 questions!
