First let me say, I have no Idea what I'm doing. learning as i go and reading through all the forums ect. however, I am
having an issue with my Power Max 600, it does initialize, but when i try to cut the torch just traces over the pattern like it is cutting it out but the torch is not cutting. I replaced the torch cable (installed correctly). no luck. nothing in my shop has changed ie no new electronics. I was able to cut 1 thing out a couple months ago PM 1250, then switched to power max 600 from 1250. All connections are correct. when I hit the CUT button it traces over the image as if it is cutting it, but it doesn't initialize the cut but follows until the image should be cutout. i have read the forums and havent found anything that points me in the right direction.

Unless its been modified the 600 doe snot have the same connections as the 1250 (1000 series)...
You give no information about the control and how you are firing he torch. IS it using a hand torch?
Last 600 I saw (years ago) needed to have the torch switch wires tied to the torch fire signal from the control *relay output.
There is no Arc Ok or voltage divider so you have to provide those signals externally.

Re: Power max 600. moves but wont cut
I have figured out what I was doing wrong. I didn't have the auto cut selected!
pm 600 May be older, but it doesn't have hardly any cut time and my 1250 has about 40 inches of cut time.
sorry I should have given more information.
