Fun Stuff new Laser

I bought a 70 Watt Diode laser and this is my first fun project for my Sister-in-law as they just moved into an new Condo/retirement forever home.
Cut from thin plywood and painted with acrylic paint sealed with clear. One layer is cut in the video and backer forms the second layer with their marriage date etched. I used a stacked text type of cut, laser kerf made a snug fit for the parts. All work done with Lightburn.

Google seems to have change things, in the past a simple URL give worked for any that had it. Now they have added hooks to jump through to view things. Now I get request to release after it was posted as a broadcast post so it can be viewed, not sure if this is an way for them to increase users.

Tom - in any case, a great result! As you might remember, I purchased the same machine as yours - but have yet to get it operational. I'm waiting to build the stand to mount it on. I'm extremely limited on space, so have no flat surfaces to otherwise mount it on. This one will reside between my Plasmacam table and cnc wood router. Should be pretty nice when I get it finished. At present - I've got other projects that require my more immediate attention. I will keep you posted.

Projects have an order they need to be put into, your running a business can slow personal fun stuff down. Oh being retired does not mean you have more time for projects.

Thanks it was fun and the sister-in-law love it, I've done a few other things, the thin kerf make the stacked text technique handy. I can cut all the part from one slab of material, cuts down on waste.
I also have used the laser to remove paint in the pattern to electro etch aluminum for name plates. Filler with powder coating then sanded and buffed, really neat. The title says "Ferric Chloride" but talks about electric and salted water, that is what I did worked great.
