Can you post more info about the images, what software use to generate the cut path for 1/4" I use 48 ipm may help with the dross. But I think the main concern is the not finishing the cut path which could be software. Are you using lead in and outs?? Some also look like the pierce is to high should be about 0.150".

Yes .. its sheetcam..
I can speed it up to 58ipm.
I'm very new to this so yes I've posted in sheetcam form also.. don't think their is anything wrong with that lol? Don't know why buddy feels the need to notify anyone lol..
Yes I believe the peirce height is .15"

1 check the cut direction

2) check that the torch is waiting for arc transfer before starting the pierce counter and then moving.

suggest using a leading and lead out

3, What does the toolpath in the control program show?

Ok thanks for the reply guys..


So its getting better. The cutting direction is the same as the above pic u posted... I was able to add an over cutt also which is working well.. as well as .25 lead in and out...

Pierce height is .015 ..

1mm tip 45 amp, 45 I'm
THC is proma THC 150
I have that set at 60volts for 1/4"

I am certainly no expert and this may not be your issue but when I started my XY motion would begin before the torch had pierced the material and I was getting unfinished cuts. Added pierce delay time and a lead in solved the issue for me.
