hi all, i have a job lined up that the customer would like a similar font of text that they have seen else where.
ive looked in the usual places, whatsthisfont, dafont, findmyfont etc, but cant seem to find this one. or one thats very similar. i wondered if any of you guys have one, or know the name of it.

BLENHEIM HOUSE . It must be out there, cant understand it being a one off font.

I have seen some that are sort of similar, but not identical. It would be easy enough to download and modify the individual font letters to get close to your goal. That would/should be an additional charge to the customer.

Always worth asking. I'm with David, find one as close as possible and do the mods and charge the design time to the customer. At least you don;t have to do more than a few letters.

to modify 2 words you may look at using the Node edit function to reshape the letters from a close shape. Or do a manual trace and make slight changes where needed. You may be looking at about half and hours work and charge the customer. And run it by them before so they are happy.

Tom - I agree that the node editing tool in Inkscape may very helpful for modifying the fonts. Also creating the small extensions and using the union tool may help as well.
