Plasma Cutter suggestions

Hello,
I need a plasma that cuts up to 40mm thick
do you have any suggestion which i can use in cnc.

As well as do you have any thoughts about plasma Stahlwerk (Germany)
which are 160A with water cooling which can cut up to 52mm.

What's your budget, and do you need it to pierce 40mm or can you get away with edge start? On the lower end of pricing, the Hypertherm PM 125 can cut 40mm, but I believe it is edge start only at that size. My PM 105 handles 32mm fine edge starting. In fact it does real well at 32mm.

This plasma has pilot ignition. can it be connected to cnc?

it depends what CNC you wish to use some do not like pilot start.

I would suggest looking at the linuxcnc forum, there is a guy (tommylight) on there from Kosovo who has done all sorts of things with pilot start plasma cutters and cheap Chinese ones to get them to cut well with CNC.

With your low budget have you considered Oxy torch ?
Or are you cutting stainless or something other than carbon steel ?
