For Crying Out Loud!

Post by Joe Jones »

I haven't even unpacked my X-TOOL P2 laser yet. The F1 is on my kitchen table waiting to be moved to the "laser room" on the second floor of the FrankenBarn ...

and now ... NOW they are introducing this?!?!

If you never get them out of the box, then I guess the whiz-bang features don't really do you much good. Maybe they are like art, enjoy looking at them? Crack'em open and make something!

I just met a young guy today who is

NOT on drugs
Employed
Intelligent
Reliable
Hard working
Looking for side work to supplement his income

I am going to hire him to help me with some of these TO DO tasks and see. If he works out, I have about $60K worth of work for him here. I can keep him busy through the 2024 election!

STILL funny! Actually, the boxes are all slowly migrating to one area, where they will each be opened, assembled and put to use. I have to insulate the upper floor of the FrankenBarn before winter, if I am going to use the lasers up there. That barn gets COLD! Lasers and laser materials do not like frigid temps.

Yay! And yay on finding a younger back to help you! I have 1 that works for me in Learn Plasmacam products (cords and Snap'NCut, etc) area, 2 in HVAC and a couple at the store (graphic designer/clerk and clerk). Makes all the difference in the world! I know my water cooled CO2 tube didn't like it when I forgot to turn off the plasma table exhaust and it got cold cold cold that night. Broke the $1k tube..... Now it's in the nice temp controlled store!

Looking forward to seeing you all set up in the laser business and out of the cardboard furniture business! :HaHa

Maybe I'll start by making products out of the cardboard boxes! There is a whole cult following for this stuff. Search PINTEREST.COM for "corrugated cardboard art."

Wouldn't it be FUNNY if the products I make using the cardboard boxes PAY for the machines that CAME in the cardboard boxes?!

Well ... I bought the S1 laser with the 90" auto feed bed, air assist, fire detection system and rotary tool, and the risers. I will endeavor to set up BOTH the P2 nd the S1 in the coming weeks.

An old friend of my sister, who is now living in Illinois, is in a bad situation. I've known her since I was 6 or so. She is handy with tools and intelligent. So I invited her to come and stay at my place for a couple of months (through the Chicago winter?) and we would work together to tackle some of the TO DOs on my long list.

I have had MANY roommates over the years. This will just be more of the same, I guess.
