Thanks in advance,
Is there any way to constrain text to a shape? Sort of like the old spyglass effect - see the pic for an example.
So in the picture the text is constrained to inside the circle. I want to do that, but any shape - not just a circle. I can't seem to find any guides on this type effect - and i can't figure out the words to describe it well - so hoping it makes sense.

I know of no way to do this with Fusion 360. Inkscape has the Path Effects tool which might get you close to what you are after. I expect that CorelDraw and LightBurn possibly have some similar capabilities.

Here is an instructional video that may be of some help to you.

I downloaded a copy of Ai to try it out. I think it has just what you are looking for, and very simple to use. Just draw your text and the shape you want to fit it to, then with the shape on the top of the z stack select both and then "Object, Envelope Distort, and Make with Top Object".
You can export as svg (or dxf) for further editing with Inkscape or for import to Fusion 360.

You are quite welcome Plasmanewbie! The first one I showed I did with Inkscape, and the last ones I did using Adobe Illustrator. I had not used it before, but following some of the online instructions it was pretty simple to do. I'm happy I purchased it as I think it will come in handy in the future - just one more tool to add to the "tool belt".
