A friend has asked me about making custom trophies for a club. Maybe 30 or 40 of them, to start. They want them made from 11 gauge steel, and only SIX inches wide x FOUR inches tall. Obviously the plasma table cannot give me that level of detail. I told him I could make them, but they would need to be about 24 inches wide to incorporate all of the detail he seeks, and look good when finished.
As much as I would LOVE to use this as an excuse to run out to buy a nice fiber laser, I cannot justify the expense ... yet. So I am looking for someone around the Nashville area or in that general part of the country (Half-Day Drive?) who CAN cut the trophy heads using my design file. I am not looking for ANY compensation. I just want to find him the right person to make these things.
