Hey there,
i was selling last year many of those lovely christmas trees und this year i want to start a lot earlier than last christmas (i got the sheet mild steel on the 24th).
So the question is, how to wrap up those trees so that they look nice. My plan was to use oilpaper, so the corrosion protective oil won't flow through it and everybody keeps clean hands.
I got 2 pics attached with a test piece of paper. Oilpaper is a little expensive for trying it and then scrap the idea. White is a terrible color for a steel decoration - it gets so dirty quick. Oilpaper is brown.
Any suggestions? I hoped finding some oilpaper christmas present paper. I don't know the english term for it, but maybe you know what i mean. Oilpaper with some christmas decoration pics on it like that paper you wrap up christmas presents.

Have you tried a roll of wax paper?? It may not stain when you wrap the oily parts.

I believe, wax paper is oil paper. But i will try it. I hope, its a little stronger than breadpaper.

Re: Wrapping up for christmas
I looked into it and found - - Wax paper is a triple-waxed tissue paper; made with a food-safe paraffin wax which is forced into the pores of the paper and spread over the outside as a coating. It should not be used for lining cookie sheets for baking cookies as wax paper cannot take the heat of the oven and will smoke. So it could work maybe.
