That's great, glad to hear are making positive progress. This site is great for helpful people, we all know the struggle when getting started.
In my opinion I would stick with your proven base settings on your 2" letters unless your machine is obviously struggling with delivering good cut quality as a result of travelling too fast.
Good tight machines with proper slow downs and acceleration should have no problem but I have seen many cases where slowing down and reducing amperage does help.
