Consumable ID indicator

Post by acourtjester »

I was asked if I could 3-D print a attachment for the machine torch to show what consumables (nozzle) that was mounted on the torch. This is used so you don't need to remove to see what is on the torch. Here is what I came up with, small labels and a magnet to change just the label part. I remove the gear so it can be mounted anywhere along the body of the torch.

Tom - that's a great idea. I usually an switching out between FineCuts and regular consumable stacks. I usually just look at what is on the shelf to know what is in the torch. But this would be even better, especially for 3 more separate stacks. I don't have the Sync, but I bet the cartridges might be color coded to tell the difference. I'll wait to hear what the Sync users have to say.
Thanks for your idea!

The sync cartridge adjusts the amps automatically, so just look at the plasma display.

I'm guessing these are for use with a non-Sync machine. More for us old school guys with the older cutter.
