The Rooster Napkin Holder is bare CR steel. I hit it with a 120-grit flap disc & got the coloring using
solvent dye. Just took a few minutes to do.

The Badge Sign is 24"' diameter, HR steel, mill-scale removed with muriatic acid (10 minute bath), polished
with a non-woven disc on a 4.5" grinder, then sprayed with one of my new Patina Colors, "Gold Rust", then
clear-coated.

The Bull Rider Towel Holder was Copper FX, followed by Black Solvent Dye in a few spots, applied with
an air-brush. Then clear-coated.

Yes, but I don't remove mill-scale with a flap disc. I soak off the mill-scale, then quickly polish
it up with an 80 or 120 Grit Flap Disc. Lately, I've been using a non-woven pad on a 4.5" grinder, and that
works well, too. But you need a variable speed angle grinder to use the non-woven pad.

HCL (Muriatic Acid 30%+) aka: Hydrochloric Acid mixed 1:1 w/ Water. 10-15 minutes of submersion, remove, rinse well & force-dry with shop air.

12-24 Hrs. will remove 99% of dross, too.
