45xp finecut ohmic question

good morning, i have jst put a set of finecut consumables into my 45xp machine torch and connected up the ohmic sensor but i cant get the tip to make the circuit? the deflector will complete but not the tip? ive cleaned them even though were brand new.

The defector is isolated from the tip and that is what should be contacting the metal not the tip

Tom is correct - the shield will make contact with the metal, not the nozzle. On another note, make sure you are using the FineCut swirl ring for best results.

Thanks again for your help, I rechecked everything and I had put the finecut hand torch deflecter on by mistake

After I posted I remembered on the 65 fine cut there are 2 different parts, one being the Deflector and the other is the shield.
Shield being the one used for Ohmic sensing, I should have been more clear in my post.
Which you did figure out.
