0-19 Fault Code Explanation

The 0-19 fault code indicates the system is protecting the power board from voltage instability by shutting the inverter down and preventing the torch from firing for brief period of time. Typically, this fault is caused by electrical noise created by other electrical equipment that is running in your shop at the same time that you are operating your plasma cutter. The 0-19 fault typically clears on its own after the input power to your plasma cutter has stabilized. Hypertherm states that a 0-19 can occur up to three times in short succession, but after that, the code will change to a 0-99 fault code, indicating that there is a major hardware fault. If you see a 0-99 fault code, you cannot clear this code on your own, and your system will have to go in for diagnostics and repair.
