Mike - I think this will depend on the particular airbrush and the paint/reducer being used. Or are you asking for recommendations as to which airbrush to purchase?

I will likely be using the Steel FX powders. I am wondering what one should get for an airbrush and compressor.

I am not sure it really matters much what airbrush you use. If you were trying to airbrush and mural or something it would be a different story but your essentially just spraying your dyes at your metal part, no real intricacy is involved here. I wouldn't worry much about the type and wouldn't spend much on it either for this appliciation.
