I have built a new table 2 months ago and I now have the time to show you.
I used alot of bits from my last table including the gantry.
Here are some pictures. I made the sides higher so I can get bigger square tubing under the gantry. Compared to my other table which is not very good at all.

Growing as you go, I have done that to with different table shapes and sizes. Only you really know what is needed for your operation.

I only have a couple of things to finish off my table including levelling 3 corners and installing another guard/cover.
I will also be redoing my rotary axis to suit as well.
My original table gave me 650mm x 450mm but I could slide longer material through. My new table now is 1350mm x 650mm. I can still slide longer material if necessary.
