Hello,
I have decided to build my own plasma cnc table but I dont think i will be machining the z axis. This is something that I will buy already fabbed.
Velox makes a nice one https://www.veloxcnc.com/xz-za-series but it is not magnetic breakaway
candcnc makes one but its UGLY for a machined piece https://www.candcnc.net/store-home/supe ... ch-holder/
So who else makes a Z Axis with a magnetic break away?
Thanks in advance!

I've had a go at 3d printing one similar to this idea

Yet to be given enough of a work testing in use to see how it stands up. It is very light and very strong.... But concerned with any blowback over time (I may add a thin metal shield to the bottom edge)
I picked one of these cheap z axis up from Amazon on next day delivery to try out (search for linear slide 100mm)

Also check the DIY version from seanp here on this forum

Its certainly much simpler to make than the one I machined. This and a pre-made Z axis stage like Robert linked to would be very cost effective.

I made one as well. I think my build has it in my sig. Also did a vid or 2 on it on my YT channel. I think I got my magnets from K G magnets. My vid lists it. YT username: TJS Welding and Fabrication.
