We are trying to use a font that's loaded on our computer. When we draw the text using that font, it previews with the correct font but when we enter it in the software, it changes the font to something different. Has anyone ever had this problem and is there a 'fix' for it?

It sounds like either the "software" can't find the font, or it can't use the font (font in a format that the software can't use).

Go to your advanced settings in the text creation tool and make sure you don't have some weird option checked therre.
