had some issues with ball screw whip so i came up with this as a fix. screw whip is not an issue now but the gearing on the axis has me stuck at 230 IPM so i have some new parts coming to see if i can get that traverse speed up some more. i think i'm geared to high with a 4:1 ratio so i want to try a 2:1 ratio to see if i can pick some more torque up in the process.
