Just in case any plasma cutter user is looking for a more affordable software package than Adobe Illustrator that can work with Illustrator files, layers, paths, images, export DXF files and more, try a program called "LightBurn" it's designed for laser cutters but having just lost my Illustrator setup due to a laptop upgrade i have found it to be excellent software.
I also use it on a laser cutter so moving to DXF design for plasma cutting was easy and so far I haven't missed Illustrator at all
