I have a need to make many small parts (1.5" x 2.1/4") and trying to grind them is a killer on the gloves and finger tips.
I have seen several remarks in different areas of people who talked about using H.F. cement mixer ? is this for real ?
and most of all does it work ?, any suggestions on the media to put into it that will help work ??
any suggestions, comments or advice would be VERY MUCH APPRECIATED,
I really need something hopefully you can help guide me in the right direction.
Thanks
goldwinger

I put Cement Mixer in the search field but in came up blank ?
BUT Thanks for your information and pointing me in the right direction, it sounds like this is what I need to do for the small parts.

Re: Using Cement Mixers for Slag & Dross Removal ?
I used to use a cement mixer for dross removal and it worked great! My mixer went belly up though and I haven't replaced it yet...
I was also using an old dryer for a while that also worked until the magic smoke escaped.

I use a Harbor Freight large cement mixer for a tumbler. Straight steel, no aggregate. Loud as HELL, but works well on parts that are durable enough to not bend/deform.

I made this for my mixer, not just as harsh as the mixer drum, it has a lid on as well, keeps in the dust and makes a lot less racket.

Have you ever tried Muriatic acid baths?
