Re: Newbie SoCal/Ore
Just throwing in my .02......If you want to mark HR (hot roll), you probably won't like the easyscriber. If you are marking bright SS or AL, you might really like it. I use mine on 304ss making Made in USA/Serial number tags and it works great. I have also used it to verify accuracy of my machine, scribing a profile instead of cutting it out and wasting steel.
I love mine and for my purpose, It works like a charm.

Re: Newbie SoCal/Ore
A little shaky due to excessively high feed rate. I slowed it down and got rid of the wavy gravy. This is on 16g 304ss. I suspect CR or P&O will yield similar results. I polish or scuff before scribing, scribe, then cut out profiles.

Nice! My scribe just showed up but I’m having a problem with it dragging in between letters.
Any suggestion for the sheetcam settings? I have a touch off plasma table.

In Sheetcam look for the Options drop down menu at the top of the screen and click on it.
From this menu click on Job Options and the Job Options window will appear.
In the Job Options window look for the Rapid Clearance setting.
Increase the Rapid Clearance enough that the scribe tip is no longer in contact with the material between scribe operations.
This should do it but if not just let us know

Re: Newbie SoCal/Ore
Look under the job options and make sure the Rapid clearance is about 1", use a simple Post Processor (no touch off needed) just set the scribe at Z 0.0 with the scribe under some pressure. That will be the same pressure it uses for scribing when it moves to the location to start. That the way I set mine.
