Esab Em215ic mig or Linc. MP210?
I need a 200+/- amp mig machine to supplement my AC/dc Tig welder(AHP200X). Lincoln is offering the multi process MP210 with only the mig gun and regulator for $999 until tomorrow,11-9-2018. I like the esab em215ic (mig only machine) better which I can get for about $900 after rebate. Which should I choose?

Millermatic 211 is $1279 and a $200 rebate and a free Miller hood at Cyberweld. I am biased though, as I have a fleet of Miller. Both the Lincoln and Esab are imports I *think* Miller is built in 'murica.
Having owned both Miller and Lincoln small machines (and big machines), I prefer the Miller. Comparing a Millermatic 190 to the Lincoln PM 180, I have never had my Miller (any of them) experience a thermal shutdown. The Lincoln did frequently. I feed my machines a hot supper almost daily and they take it. The Miller seems more robust to me. I have no experience with Esab's hobby machines.....only the bigger units.
Just my opinion.

Oooooh Jester, you just sent this poor soul into the belly of the beast. JK, but the Red, Yellow and Blue discussions used to get heated over there.acourtjester wrote:you may post this over at https://weldingweb.com/ for a better reply

I have Esab/Murex equipment. All I can say is that the plasma and mig units have been very reliable and spares easy to source, from UK or Europe.
