Gary, I'm dyin over here!
I said I wouldnt do it... but I am desperate! You did such a good job with the other dog things that this lady wants me to do 14, yes, 14 more pieces. I was like "ummm, great, okay, cant wait"...
Anyway, attached is a bunch of drawings with bits and pieces from here, and from you etc.. I have followed all of your previous instructions very carefully, and I CANNOT get them to weld together how I want. The original square with the trees must be broken or something?
Thanks so much!
April

Yes, thank you! I cant figure out why I cant weld the objects!
I must remove my post now, and maybe Bill and Clark you could as well because that is Gary's deer that I purchased from his superbundle.
Thanks so much guys!

Re: Gary, I'm dyin over here!
Amber,
The problem with that piece was the ground and the trees. Take the middle area for example....from the center of the large tree trunk on the left to the center of the large tree trunk on the right. Rather than being 1 curve, it's 821. Use the pick tool and marquee-select that entire area...then de-select the deer, dog and sun/moon ....then "join curves". You'll have a single curve. After that simply select the deer and "trim" it to the curve you just created...then select the dog and trim it....followed by the sun/moon.. You could also select the other two areas (right and left sides) and do the same "join curves" on them. That'll reduce the number of pierce point (depending on your post-processor) and it'll make it easier to add other trees, like Bill did.
In case that's as "clear as mud", you have my number from a previous pm....give me a call tomorrow and I'll talk you through it....it's really pretty easy....You'll be able to do it in 2 or 3 minutes, I promise!

As redneckgateart said, the background objects were a bunch of separate line segments, not joined in closed curves, and weld only works on closed curves. Nice layout....

April,
Get to dialing then...there's no sense in spending hours trying to figure out a problem like that when a quick phone call might solve the problem. Sometimes it's easier to talk someone through an issue, if they're sitting at their computer, following along step-by-step.

Clark, I am composing a list of quick questions that I think I just will call you and ask. The amount of time I have spent on Google trying to find the answers is appalling. Besides, I am secretly hoping you have a Texas Twang... that would be an added bonus of the call LOL!
