New Table Start

Post by tentonjj »

Bought a 2x2 table from Precision Plasma with whatever money I could put together. Here is the first piece that I had to assemble with NO DIRECTIONS, witch was a bit irritating since I had to un assemble and reassemble 4 times to get it all to work together. I bought the electronics from CandCNC, all of the motors mounting holes had to be tapped out to fit the screws that were sent along, that was also irritating. I have the table built but I need to make some mods to it for the machine to sit on. I also bought the Hypertherm 45 on recommendation from Jim Colt. All that I need it to wire up my shed with my brother in law and get it in there to start the Trial and Error process. I did not want to buy one just yet, but realized that you need to spend money to make money right? Besides I have had a bunch of people asking me about it as soon as I casually said I MIGHT get one. I am also trying to learn the Mach3\Sheetcam software as best I can before everything is ready to go. I will update with more pics as soon as more gets built. Please let me know what you think, THANKS.

That 8020 strailuff is really slick... light and strong with little to no deflection,, and the integrated bearing rails are nice... this stuff is what I'm going to be using for parts of my table... some ordered, lots ye to Come! Good luck on your build... looking forward to seeing your Progress!
