Setting up a rotary on my table. I have a 4 jaw chuck. With my zero switch, am I correct that it should home as if the y axis was moving over the pipe in the same direction as it homes on a flat sheet? For example, if I'm facing the torch and if I home the y and it goes left then the top of the tube should rotate to the right.
Also, for square tube it should home with a flat face up, correct?
I know for round tube the y home should be the center of the tube. Is this the same for square or does it need to home to a different place?

Re: 4th axis rotary questions
Don't know but I am in.
I have only done round and no switches needed for that but I need to play with it much more to think about square stuff.
The thing I would worry about is when the program finished, is the rapid speed going back to home.

Re: 4th axis rotary questions
I removed the homing move from the SheetCam post a long time ago. I didn't like the table shooting around when it was finished. Now it just raises the Z and I move it where I want it to go.
