On the website it lists a "pro" series for a couple thousand more than the regular setup when you go to "shop". What all is included in the pro series? Is it just the other software? What applications would the upgraded software pay for itself?

That is the NGEN Pro pack. It has Pronest and a laptop to program off site. It also has the highest rigidity to lowest preload linear rails. These linear rails are the kind that do not have exposed bolt holes with plastic caps that allow shop dust to contaminate the linear bearings.
