I got a good deal on a TD Cutmaster 82 but I'm concerned that I should have got a bigger one. I had a TD 151 and it cut great, but this one stopped cutting after a bit even on some 1/4" steel. I get the duty cycle is lower than my old monster, but is this one too low to keep?
I guess my question is does anyone here cut thick steel like maybe 3/8" on a CNC table with a Cutmaster 82?
Anyone use a TD Cutmaster 82 for CNC?

Duty-cycle is not lower..151 is probably similar at 100% duty-cycle rating.Yes the 151 has more power, but the 82 should cut about the same as a Hypertherm 65 .. I owned all three, and a 42, 52/A-120,101 also.. if it's snapping off on .250, something is really wrong with it .3/8 would still be in the 100% duty-cycle range if using the consumables like 60 amp stuff .70 amp tips work way better then 80 amp on that thickness too,,
