Files from here
When loading files into sheetcam they look normal but when making a g code and into Mach 3 they cut very very small. Please help what am I doing wrong. Very newbie. Love this site. Everyone is very helpful!

You have your settings in Sheetcam to metric or you are importing at some odd scale.

Depending on the country of origin, files downloaded from here can be either in either metric or inches. So when you import them into Sheetcam, you may have to change your import scaling in the drawing options popup window.

If you set SheetCam up showing the size of you material or table size you can click on an icon to see how the drawing looks compared to the material.
Also there are numbers on the bottom of the screen that show the up and down dimension related to the cursor position. I always position my X0 and Y0 at the lower left corner. After I do my plan I then check how high and wide the the cutting operation is and put that info in the G-code file name. That helps if I am cutting on a left over plate to position the new operation. I mean to say "of the cursor"

my method would be to open it up in a cad program resize the dxf and save it in the new cut size
but if you get to the machine and need to cut it bigger, use acourtjester's method to see what size the dxf file is layed out
if you want to resize it: re-import the file by FILE>IMPORT DRAWING>SELECT FILE>OPEN
when you see the screen attached select custom scaling and scale it accordingly
you can do this by trial and error or mathimagically
the mathamagical method is if your drawing shows that it is 1.5'' and you want to cut it 24'' divide 24 by 1.5 and you get 16
enter 1:16 in the custom scaling box
it is possible that ogre is assbackwards and the scaling is 1.5/24 in that case the scaling factor is .0625
