Looking to try out some dyes and Latin as on some projects. Have a question before taking the plunge.
1. Are there any other affective methods to apply the dyes other than with an air brush?
Thanks
Dan

Spend $20 and get an air brush from Harbor Freight........ they are good enough to get you started. I'm still using mine after 3-4 yrs.

I tried brushing and sponging the dyes on. Nothing worked until I bought an airbrush. Takes abit of practice but it doesn't take long to learn. I love airbrushing!

Re: Applying metal dyes
I am looking at dying some flags that I am making... they are about 18"x24". Is an airbrush sufficient to cover these?
With the harbor freight airbrush, what compressor are you using? Is it possible to use a small pancake compressor?
Thanks

Re: Applying metal dyes
Any compressor will operate a airbrush. I have mine plumbed into the air supply for my table. That way I am using air that has been filtered and dried. Just add a regulator so you can cut down the pressure and you're ready to go.
