You marry into the PlasmaCam family and must accept the fact your software and hardware are proprietary. It's a for better or for worse engagement with overwhelming security. PlasmaCam controls the computer, table, hardware to their advantage IMO.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
Picked this up from a local wholesaler. It was some sort of table for a machine. I calculated it out and weighs about #500. I paid $300 for it.It came with a piece of stainless sheet mounted on the top. The holes have actually come in handy for clamping.

Here is mine. I have added another receiver to the other side for a bench grinder and also a grinder rack. I have a duel outlet box that has a magnet mounted to it so that I can move it. I usually keep it under the table.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
We bought a Buildpro 4x8 table for the shop. I'm with Black Forest, it's an unbelievable time saver. I'm kicking myself for not building one of these sooner. I bet I would have paid for it in the past year just in less wages and crawling around in the floor to work on larger stuff gets old pretty quickly.
We made 40 of these pieces that are jigged up. Made things a lot easier.

My 3'x6'x.75" table we just annular cut 298 5/8" hole into. I just got the steel to make it into a scissor lift table.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
Old thread I must have missed... There are some nice tables and features here so I thought I'd show mine as well.
I used receiver tubing for the legs on mine but still have a dirt floor so I don't have the casters on yet.
It has a spot on both ends to store vise grips and clamps.
It has welded work lead locations on all four corners right below the outlets and ran all the wiring in flexible conduit.
There's a spot to wind up and store the power cord.
It has a portable MIG gun holster that can be clamped anywhere on the 1" thick 4'x6' top.
There's an extension that can be slid into the front or the end and its personalized!
I plan on putting a mag drill to it like many others in this thread.

I showed up at the right place & time and scored 3 Platens, had one ripped into pcs. The table telescopes or comes apart as needed.
Have multiple receiver tubing sockets for tool attachment or table expansion

Work in progress, good start though for a small TIG only fab table.

Looks nice Bill! Is this in your home shop, or at the company facility?
Great build.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
Thanks David, It's at the company facility. I just picked up that Diversion 180 sitting on it for small jobs, mostly customer protos...... I tapped every other hole 1/2-13 UNC and made the others .630 dia to accommodate 5/8" pin clamps. Thought was I can import the hole pattern into Solid Works, take a model of a new design and just hoover it over the table. That will allow me to locate and clamp a base fixture plate, tab and slot riser plates and just pull them up to fit the part in CAD. Create a dwg from the model and ya got a jig....in theory...... This table is kinda small, just 40" x 66" but will serve its purpose for what I need.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
Very professional and well thought out! I've got several of the Rhino Carts with fixturing. They use the same 5/8" diameter holes in the top plate, which also happens to be 5/8" thick. If I had a machining setup like yours, I probably would have built my own. My main welding table is just a flat piece of 1" thick steel plate.

Re: Show Off Your Welding Table
Sold the old table on page 1 that was 3'x7' when this 3'x6' came up on craiglist this spring. It was in nicer shape and 1 foot saves me floor space. I added lift wheels to make it mobil and a slide out to get 24" of additional width if needed and a receiver tube for vice.
