New torch designs that improve cut quality as well as cut speed and consumable life and new, lighter weight, higher duty cycle power supplies with features never before found in an air plasma system. Re: 2 New Hypertherm Powermax Plasma systems
Im still waiting for my unit to arrive, I was told it would be shipped out last weekend. Then told they didn't make it as far in production as they needed to ship my unit. Waiting sucks...

Re: 2 New Hypertherm Powermax Plasma systems
Sorry for the delays. Our production department is working overtime for the first time in a couple of years trying to catch up with the influx of orders for Powermax65 and 85 systems. Currently the lead time for 65's is about 2 weeks, and for 85's is about 3 weeks. We were doing better than that but we had a small glitch last week that lost us a couple days production ( a supplier did not make his shipment of parts to us in time). In another month we hope to have the lead times down to about 3 to 4 days. When two new products are introduced at the same time, it takes a while to fill the pending orders....and the orders came in at rates of almost 2x our expectations. A good situation and a bad situation at the same time. Be patient, you won't regret waiting for these systems!

I got my Powermax 85 on Thursday. I am impressed... Haven't gotten it dialed in yet. New to the Plasma side of CNC.

Re: 2 New Hypertherm Powermax Plasma systems
Sorry to bring back an old thread, but how are the production delays working currently. I ordered a Powermax 65 #083277 Yesterday and was told the ship date was like weeks away from now. This was a little surprising since I remember reading this thread and you saying you hoped to have it down to just a few days. I totally understand your point with your suppliers not meeting their deadlines. Out of your control completely. Just curious to see what you have to say on the subject.

Re: 2 New Hypertherm Powermax Plasma systems
Thanks for the quick response. The place I ordered from called while I was there and the sales associate from Hypertherm told him 2 weeks. Maybe they just say that in case an issue arises. When I did get the quote the week before, he called to confirm his price and they told him at that it was only 2 days. Maybe a different sales person.
Any way, I guess it gets here when it does. Then the fun begins
Thanks again Jim

I got an answer from Customer service....the lead time is out to about 14 or more days currently to to demand. Our production team is working overtime to remedy the backlog.

Must be from all the early tax returns. I must not be the only one this year that is spending their tax return on a Plasma.
It will be worth the wait!!
