Re: Looking for a copy of Cadd
Hi Jason
is that specifically Cadd or do you mean a more general 2D CAD drawing software
if its the later I would suggest looking for free downloads, I would recommend "Solidedge 2D" (other cad systems are available) and there is a tutorial on "Arclight" for solidedge, It does come down to personal chioce
I have Solidworks but have used Solidedge for many years, so when it comes to producing a drawing I always reach for Solidedge because I know it whereas I am still learning Solidworks, and time is money
Best regards to all

Never used solidedge but will look in to it. Auto cadd would be great any version of it. I know cadd rather well and would ease the pain off leaning new software

Re: Looking for a copy of Cadd
I don't know about autocad but all of the software I've purchased over the years doesn't allow the purchaser to resale or even share it with another. This is how they make their living. Just saying

Best bet is to find a student at a local university or tech school that will purchase the student version for you. It is a full blown version of Autocad but cannot be updated.
My last version is 2008 but I am going to sign up for a class this spring just so I can purchase a newer version of Autocad.

There are any number of comprehensive 2D cad programs available for FREE.
A9CAD, Qcad, Draftsight, ProgeCad, LibreCad, to name a few.

Autodesk AutoCAD R15 Student Version is essentially FREE if you have an E-Mail Address at a school.
And can be downloaded from their website... If you KNOW someone who has the E-mail address you can use theirs but it is not strictly legal...
I have AutoCAD but tend to use Draftsight more than A CAD... For 2 D it is pretty good.

Hi JasonMichael
Well what did you end up running with, what CAD software did you go for in the end
just asking out of curiosity
