Cutting Large Projects

Post by pdjcutandfab »

I seem to have issues when I want to cut a larger item on my plasma table (Torchmate 3 w/ Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster A120). When I try to cut a sign say 3' x 5' the torch seems to short out partially thru the sequence, then sometimes it refires and continues with the cutting program. I have the sheet clamped down in several places and I'm not sure if the material is warping enough to short out my torch. What do other people do when they're cutting larger projects (like the stair panels that I looked at last week here). Do I need to do a different procedure or change things up or what. I'm getting frustrated b/c I have to run things 2 or more times before they work (IF they work). ANY help/ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
