Solid rivets or faux rivet heads
Does anyone have any solutions to this? I make vintage industrial style furniture and have been using carriage bolts for a rivet look. When it's not feasible to use the entire bolt with a nut, I cut the bolt head off and weld it from the back. Looking for an easier, less time consuming, or just better way of achieving a solid rivet look. Not really worried about strength as everything is welded. Just for aesthetics. Can anyone help? Thanks JMC

Re: Solid rivets or faux rivet heads
how big of a diameter. if your using under about 3/8" why not just use actual structural rivets welded on theres a place in waupun that still makes them. If you using bigger then 1/2" then you might be sol other than using something like the stamped bolt thread caps (kinda like toilet base bolt caps but smaller) welded on.

I use a lot of rivets and get them from Jaycee Rivets. Great inventory and fast shipping. Google them.
